2 tbsp coconut oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds (1 tsp)
1 tsp urad dal
1 tsp channa dal
1/8 tsp cumin seeds
Heat oil in a cast iron pan. Add mustard seeds, when it starts to splutter, add urad dal, sauté.
1 cup onion, chopped
Add onion, sauté for 5 minutes in medium flame. (10 minutes)
1 lb okra, wash and dry, chop into tiny rounds (2 boxes)
Add okra, sauté for 2 minutes.
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 and 1/4 tsp red chili powder (2 tsp)
1 and 1/4 tsp salt (2 and 1/4 tsp)
Add all the spices, mix well. sauté for 15 minutes in medium flame.
Taste Note: Tastes AWESOME
Yields: 1 and 1/4 cups (3 cups)
