Beans
1/3 cup + 1 tbsp black beans
Overnight soak black beans in water.
1/4 tsp salt
5 cups water
Drain the soaked water, wash the beans, add beans, salt and water to a pan, allow it to boil, reduce the heat to low, cover partially and cook for 1 hour.
Yields: 1 cup cooked black beans. Used 1/2 cup in this recipe and the remaining 1/2 cup in Bean Queen
Smoothie
2 cups kale (1 extra large curly kale leaf)
1 cup blueberries
1 cup blackberries
1 banana
1/2 cup cooked black beans
1/4 cup walnuts
2 tbsp raw cacao
2 cup almond milk

Taste Note: Tastes AWESOME. Tastes like chocolate smoothie. Not very sweet. Didn't taste kale at all in this smoothie.
Note: If you make it and keep it for sometime, it becomes very thick.
